Team Welles Welcomes Collaboration With Gia Rinaldi

Team Welles is excited to announce their newest collaboration with talented young rider, Giavanna Rinaldi. At the age of 23, Gia has compiled an impressive list of accomplishments including placings at the 3 and 4* levels in addition to representing Team USA during the 2022 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Mexico CSIO5*.

“We are very excited to work with a rider of Gia’s caliber. I think that she is one of the best young riders in the United States and has a big future on Team USA. Through Team Welles, Itasca Group and other connections we have an exciting group of up and coming horses in the stable. We look forward to Gia helping produce the horses and them playing a role in her career,” comments Andrew Welles.

Gia joins the Team Welles operations as they begin their spring and summer show schedule, where they will compete in Kentucky, Traverse City, Spruce Meadows, the Hampton Classic and more. Team Welles will return to base out of Chicago, Illinois through the busy summer schedule and looks forward to strengthening their presence in the area, a place that is also Gia’s hometown.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Team Welles. They have a great group of horses that I am excited to get to know and grow with. I want to thank everyone involved who helped make this possible. Looking forward to what the future holds!” says Gia.

New Year, Same Incredible Team - Welcome to the Team Welles Blog!

2020 started off very strong for the Team Welles crew - we were so excited to welcome new faces (both people and horses!) to our team as we kicked off the winter circuit in Wellington, Florida. As COVID-19 swept both our industry and the world, we found ourselves needing to adjust quickly. We feel so lucky to have spent our summer at our new home base at the beautiful Corporate Way Farm just outside of Chicago and the majority of our competition days in Traverse City, Michigan.

As we head into a busy 2021 season, we are hoping to be able to continue to show safely and watch our Team Welles family continue to grow in and out of the show ring. We are so grateful to all of our riders, team, sponsors, and of course our incredible horses. Here’s to a promising 2021!

- Andrew & Alex
